Axios, citing a White House source, has reported that a Ukrainian delegation may travel to Miami for talks with US representatives following a visit by Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

Details: Dmitriev, an envoy of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, is expected to visit Miami on 20-21 December to hold talks with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner regarding the US "peace plan".
The White House source told Axios that a Ukrainian delegation led by Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, is also expected to arrive in Miami later this week for talks with Witkoff and Kushner.
Meanwhile, sources said a trilateral meeting between representatives of the United States, Ukraine and Russia is not currently planned.
Background:
- Earlier this week, Witkoff and Kushner held hours-long talks in Berlin with Ukrainian and European officials, seeking agreement on US security guarantees for Kyiv, territorial concessions and other issues.
- AFP reported that during talks in Berlin on Sunday 14 December, Witkoff and Kushner pressed Ukrainian representatives to give up the part of Donbas still under Kyiv's control.
