Latvia allocates €200,000 to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže has said that Latvia has contributed to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.

Details: Braže said that Latvia is allocating a total of €200,000 to support Ukraine's power grid after Russian strikes.

Background:

  • It was also reported on 17 December that Luxembourg has made a further €10 million contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
  • On 12 December, the G7+ Ukraine Energy Coordination Group said it is ready to help strengthen protection of Ukraine's energy sector against Russian air strikes.
  • In November, the European Investment Bank and the EU announced more than €200 million for recovery and energy resilience in Ukraine.
